Your Post Run Dry?
Monday, June 30th, 2008Hey look, you haven’t up date your blog for quite sometime. What has happened? The posts are not coming as easily as they used too and blogging just seems to get so much harder. What shall we do? The well of inspiration dries up and you are left with a blog that is slowly dying away.
Ok, may be this is not the best ideas of all but i’m sure you can get something from it..
1. Other Blogs
Have you still been reading up on the latest happenings in your niche? Because this alone should get the ideas rolling. I find that when I am stuggling to get new post ideas, it is usually because I have stopped visiting blogs.
2. Forums
Are you a member of forums related to your blogs niche? If you are not, I strongly recommend you find some to join. Forums are a great place for you to find out what the hot topics of your niche are at the moment. Find out what people are talking about and then blog about it.
3. Google?
We use Google for everything else. Why not to find new blog post topics? This is as simple as just typing your blog niche into Google and seeing what the results are. Visit a couple of the websites and see what they are talking about. This is sure to get your brain ticking.
4. Stop Trying So Hard
What I have found is that when I sit at my computer and try and write a blog post - it never happens. I just never seem inspired whenever I sit down to write. My post ideas usually come when I am going for a walk or even when I am at work. So stop trying to force your posts out and just take a break and let them come naturally.
5. All Else Fails, Just Write For The Search Engines
If you cannot think of anything to write for your readers then start focusing of search engine traffic. Find a program like Micro Niche Finder or a similar website that tells you how many searches a phrase gets and start writing articles based on highly searched phrases in your niche - and who knows, this might get your creative juices flowing for new post ideas.
